I checked out one more LBS today. Well it's not really a total bike shop, mostly camping/outdoor equipment, but they also have Jamis bikes.
I'm trying to figure out what a fair price would be for the Jamis Nova. They quoted me $939 for the Nova, which seems high to me, since it is LOWER speced then the Kona "Jake the snake" I was going to buy for $929. But as I posted earlier, there are no avaliable Kona's until at least August.

The only thing I could see that was "better" than the Jake the Snake was 27 speeds vs. 18. Of course, I still think 27 speeds is crazy, especially for a road bike.
So what do you guys think is a fair price on the Jamis?
Thanks,
