Recumbent - I need some ride buddies in Portland OR

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

As I said in my other recent post, I just got a 'bent. I ride it to work and on longer rides on weekends.
I need some ride buddies. Anybody out there?
Check with the Community Exchange Cycle Tour club.... Sign up on Yahoo HERE (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ExchangeCycleTours/) .
They do weekly rides, special events, a few overnighters, and a coast tour once a year.

I'm trying to move out there. Find me a job and I'll be there with bells on!

I live in Milwaukie.
Very good. If you ever want to do a tour around Henry Hagg Lake... send me a message.
Do check Community Cycle Exchange. They do both begginner and intermediate rides. It be great to have a few more recumbents in the group. Very friendly folk. Most rides start from the downtown Portland.
Also check out OHPV... they do regular rides from I205 to Troutdale or East side Vancouver.

Never rode with them other than the Rites of Spring ride.

My usual weekend ride is 20-30 miles up and down the 205 and springwater. I have seen a few 'bents, but not many. I have never been to Hagg lake. Sounds like it would be a good ride. Does it have a path all the way around it?
Henry Hagg Lake has a good shoulder all around except for one bridge. The lake is 11 miles around, from Hillsboro, it is a 37 mile trek. The entire route has bike lanes or wide shoulders.
