Well i went for a ride today on some easy single track witrh my big bike and did some drops and jumps which were a blast. about 1.5 hours into the ride i saw a ver steep but short section of trail off to the side of the main trail. This 10 foot section was fairly rocky with some medium size portrusions on the way down. So I leaned back and slowly rolled my front wheel over the edge. Once I leveled out i went off line and went over the bars after my tire found a snug spot to lodge itself in. While falling I saw a tree about 8 inches in diameter to grab and break my fall. well it broke my fall and my wrist. Its ironic that I rode two of the most challenging and dangerous spots in the state and came out unscathed and only 3 days later break my wrist on some lame little section of trail. Moral of the story is wrist gaurds and finding other ways to break your fall. Off to the hand doctor tomorrow.

It is always on the simpler things that we tend to have problems. Most likely because we get to over confident. I know I do.:D

At least you will still have one good hand to hold onto the bars with. :p hope your other heals fast.

As a matter of fact, majority of auto collisions happen in the first 5 miles travelled.

Well, it will happen sometime, now you can start the cycle off odds over again and hope in wont happen again for a while (or ever again)

My neighbor crashed her car coming out of the driveway! :eek: We do live off of a busy street so with the knowledge of her incident I make sure to check a little extra before pulling out.

I always get hurt on the stuff that I don't expect to crash on. Like the time I was gonna nail a 3 foot drop on my hardtail. All I had to do was point and shoot. But my slicks slid in the wet grass and sent me endoing down a 3 foot cliff into my head. Pain...
