Okay I "found" the magic of fixed gear last may when my friend let me ride his bike a few miles. Compaired to my old road bike it was like an exotic sports car. When long story short my road bike soon became a fixed. Well I just got my new bike in and I want to do this one the right way. So links and pics are welcome. Its a Mino Denti and from what I understand its from the 1980s. Does anyone know anything about this bike and will this frame be a good base for a fairly serious fixed project? Im excited about this project... I guess I should start with pedels and a good gear set. Also I would like to polish the frame to a high shine so any pointers on that would also be great. Well here are the pics:

My current fixed I use to get to and from class:

And now for the Denti:

The brake lever on the Denti is ridiculous. How in the world did it get bent like that?

to 12XU I have no idea but they are both bent like that.
to yellowjeep I was unaware that was a large gear its just what I have been using! lol
to blickblocks the stem is not stock, its an old cinelli stem I found at a local bike shop. As for the size of the bike well Im not a very big person 5'9" 150lbs. :)

any advice on a crank set for the Denti then? number18 seems to think its a nice frame so should I go forward with the build using some nice parts?

I'm 5'7" 130lbs and I'm riding a 23" (58cm). The Denti looks like it will fit you a lot better.

i'm 5'7 and 125 and i'm riding a 56cm, i can't imagine a 58cm being ridable!
