I got a bit bored today and couldn't drum up the energy to clean the house. I did, however, manage to get energetic enough to jump in the car and head north to Madison. This of course meant a stop at a LBS that I frequent occasionally in Verona. I never did make it to Madison. I did manage to convince myself that I had to have a new Specialized Sirrus comp and now I do. I get it home and into the house and the skies opened and the rain, thunder and lightning started apparently to never end. Go figure. #$%^&@!

Congrats on the new bike. They say we don't have any control over the weather, but I believe we do. Just buy a new bike...it's better than a rain dance. Works every time.:D

Apparently, that's a metaphor for your wife's reaction to your new bike purchase? ;)

Or a wind dance. The wind blew hard the first day I got my new bike home. After so many years of no riding at all I wasn't about to brave the wind and the bike on my first ride. But that's history now....

So true. I'd rather ride in a warm rain than a cold wind, any day. But the killer is a windy, cold rain.

By the way, Jen, welcome to BF50+.

Its Spring!!! What else do you expect the weather to do? There may not be 6" of snow outside or the river may not have covered the road in mud and rubble, but the appearance of the sun occasionally does not mean that it is warm and dry outside.

We had a few warm days a couple of weeks ago, but they were in the week. Last week a brisk cold wind and this morning it is overcast and a raw 20mph wind

Now where the Thermals and the Goretex? Time for a ride to check out the new wheels again.
