riding technique is fine, but in the first pic, I'd think those skinny tires would get bogged down in the powdery lunar soil. I'd opt for large knobbies.

At 1/6 G, the Regolith (lunar Soil) is actually quite supportive!;) Remember, at that G level, the 1 1/4 inch tire is the equivalent of a 7 1/2 inch wide tire as it relates to ground pressure and buoyancy in a soft ground environment, better than a Surly Pugsley's tire in a 1 G field!:D
