Mountain Biking - Pedal under $50

those are what I use and they are great. I have never has issues with mud or un-intended unclipping. Plus there is a good amounnt of float.

that is a great price on that pedal.

last season i switchd to the crank bros. egg beaters, and just put a set of Crank Bros candys on my road bike. they can usually be found for under $50 on Perfromance.com. the other day, steepandcheap had a candy/661 shoe combo for $62.50

I just got these from Nashbar.....nevermind the fact that I'm a complete moron and stripped out the right side putting them on...the whole right tighty, lefty loosey!!!!!

I've got new pedals, now I've just gotta get new cranks!!!!

Seem a little hard to get in and out of but I'm a "roadie" used to LOOK style so it's going to take a little getting used to.....as soon as I get new cranks (cuz I'm a moron) I'm sure I'll be able to adjust.

I got by on the nashbar spd style pedals for a year or two. Then I bought some used Time ATAC pedals off of eBay. They are great! If you keep an eye out you can find some new Time ATAC ALIUM pedals for under $50 that are brand new take offs. That's how I got my second pair.

crank bros makes the smarty pedal but i think they use pebbles for bearings

Also ask around your LBS to see if they have any take-offs, we don't usually keep ours in the display cases, but normally have a few pairs for like $40-$50

I have a set of Shimano 520's on one bike and these Welgo's on the other two and can't tell the
difference when riding. They are identical to the older style Shimano's and work just as good. The
Shimano or Welgo Cleats work well in either pedal. At $25 a set, if you beat them up on the rocks
you can just throw them away and get another pair.
