I do not agree. Some of the members tend to be rather easy to flame and not offer any real unique knowledge of Bromptons. I have more help and support right here with my Brompton. As a new owner, she needs to be treated better than how they treat people who might not feel or have similar opinions the same way as the old guard there is.
If you limit yourself to technical question only-I agree. If you go beyond, no.
I don't want to ignite some pointless, internecine slugfest, but what folder fanatic fails to mention is that she has recently had "issues" with some memebers of this forum. This seemingly isolated incident, rightly or wrongly, has sullied her view of the entire Brompton Yahoo Group. However, if you want technical or general advice about your Brompton - you will find no better forum on the web.

Brompton Talk is only one of the sources I use for research purposes. Don't worry about me. I think only some of the members there (not here, I like the openmindedness we take for granted here) need a little remedial help in Netiquette, that's all.

There are discourteous people on every forum - including this one. I just think it is a shame that you have removed the link from your website to the Bromptpn Group due to the replies from a minority of posters.

To be honest with you, Fear & Trembling, I felt that I could not continue to recommend a forum that I was personally attacked for a imagined belief that I did not (and still not do) held. Or a forum where some of the members might be anti-female (Tinchen and I are both female). And space on my pages are both too precious and valuable to me to waste. I need all the space I have for the best information I can feel I could offer all my readers here and on my own web sites. I constantly add to and upgrade my sites.

You can see how the lack of gears (which are often greasy and dirty) can be cleaner to handle and transport.
Do you get dirty from the derailleurs usually or from the chainrings?

The toothy crescent tattoo. IME the (outer) chainring present the greater soiling hazard. You are adjacent to the chainring when folding and carrying the bike ... that's why a fold with "covert" chainring is nice.

I would love to leave some feedback about my daily experience with my new Brompton, but after having it ordered 2 weeks ago it still hasnt been delivered to the store so far.... Weather is great in London at the moment, so I am getting itchy to swap the tube for a nice bike ride every morning and evening....

I am also itchy to hear about how well your Brompton proves to intergrate within your life. I am sure that it will mostly replace the tube when it arrives. I tend to avoid public transit when I have one of the folders with me-although I still can exercise the option of taking it aboard the bus or train with ease when I so desire.
