I just picked this up at an estate sale for 10 bucks! Ive tried to figure out the year and model..but no luck so far. Can anyone give me some info on this bike and what it might be worth? The shifters are on the drop bars. simplex derailers, stronglight crank. says "Record du Monde" with checkered and rainbow decal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Hope the pic works......

Early '70's PX-10. The PX-10 part is right. Others will have to confirm a more specific date.

Looks like a PX-10. If it has 531 reynolds stickers it definately is. They had another model that looked similar, but was not as well made. I don't remember the model, but I think it was something like champion du monde. i would guess with the fancy lugs, and Stronglight crankset, it is probably a PX-10

There were other peugeots with Reynolds 531 that were not PX-10's. A few models (still with the "10" in the model descriptor) had Reynolds 531 main tubes only. They are still nice bikes, but not PX-10's.

Half-chrome stays and diagonally printed "531" decal = PX-10 or equivalent high-end Peugeot.

Painted stays and horizontally printed "531" "3 tubes renforces" decal = PR-10, PKN-10, or equivalent next-down Peugeot. (Fork and stays are seamed carbon steel instead of rolled and drawn manganese moly steel.)
