chrome slams

mine are red.

I've got black. If i had money i'd get mine chromed. But i think it costs a ****ton.

I'm going to look into it when i get my frame powdercoated.

I want black Sunday! colors.

chroming metal makes it weaker. not sure how much weaker but it does.

I bought a pair of chrome slams for $5. They are the best investment on my bike.

So how short can you cut those things? I wouldn't mind some taller bars, but I like them around 23 inches wide so I don't know if slams would be good. They're kind of expensive too... (Actually I guess the ones I saw were the XLT ones, I think they were 70 bucks at the shop)

just flip your stem and add spacers. dont buy new bars.

It's upright already, and the steer tube is cut too far to add spacers. I also think I cut mine a little too short now that I've had a chance to ride with them a lot.

I would say you could cut Slams to about 24ish before you get to the bends and uncomfortabley short grips.

I would have to agree considering they can be cut a bit more then Slams but still have the high rise.

Plus they look tight and not many people have them. You'll be original!

Scerbo's look awful, beringer's can be cut short but still maintain the 8" rise

Scerbos look really cool... and even Edwin runs them not and he does hop truckdrivers with them, so something must be good there.

Yeah, the scerbo's do look different, I'm not sure if I like them or not.

I've been thinking about getting some bigger bars, my wrists start to hurt about mid way through each ride.

i ride a decent size bar idk if it bigger or not but it was a dirt trail bike so i think they a bit bigger and my wrist r usaly good after a good ride

Right now it's a toss up between Odyssey Lumberjack bars, Shadows bars or s&m Slam XLT's.

Lumberjack bars are a bit expensive.

Also, one of the shops here has some chrome Slam XLT's that I'm probably picking up this week if I have the disposable cash after I pick up my wheels and cogs tonight.

I'd go with the XLT's.

My slams are cut to 24.5 with stretched out odi longnecks. I hold them near the bend or even a little on the bend which is probably close to 23ish. It feels good to me.

My le-tigre's are cut to around 24.5", I'll probably keep my XLT's uncut for a bit and see how they are.

I have to measure mine... they really don't look as short as I thought they were.

I just went out and checked mine, they are the same size as my uncut Haro Slims, so 25"

How many bars do you have?

i need new bars, mine are bent to hell, and i didnt help that after i ****ed up my tire i threw my bike for the first time, ever.
