I received the "Hell on Wheels" DVD from bentnail last month but just got around to watching it over the weekend. After watching the movie I don't think I'll ever complain about long rides, hills, bad weather, etc again.

To win this contest you'll need to guess the mileage of my Sunday morning ride this week. Our usual breakfast place was closed so we took a different route full of those hills I'm not going to complain about anymore:rolleyes:

The deadline is Thursday April 4 at noon EST.

27.89 miles with 1,000 feet of climbing. Not counting the few feet pushing the bike into its parking place.

I've been "gone" for 8 days, and I come back to, A) another crooked, fixed, and probably illegal contest, and, B) blue stars on the avatars of the least trustworthy gang of posters on the entire World Wide Web.

Am I in a parallel universe??? And if so, guess the distance between the two universes, and win a prize...

With you out of the way for a while, we were finally able to make some really positive changes. Welcome back -- and look out for the Diegos! :D

I feel shunned, I had only banned a few users... Maybe next year they should actually swap the colors to promote us non-moderators and demote the mods. :D

21.36, simply because it was what I did today. No hills to speak of (this *is* Florida), but a nasty headwind. Both directions. Isn't there a law against that or something? :D

My guess is 666 miles.

Oh sure, another contest where the rules are vague amd variable. This is why my unanounced contests are unanounced. The rules are unknown and thus never change. The contestents never know when they have entered one and for some reason that still escapes me the prizes seem to be reusable indefinately. Remember there is still a new set of wheels out there for the reader who finds and responds properly to the clue.

I will always accept any prize, no matter how great or how trivial. Just setting the record straight here! :D
