Does this one sell out in like 10 minutes like the Wildflower? In other words, should I email people and let them know or call them and let them know?

I dont think so...but I would not take the chance...it is getting very popular...

I'm not digging the jersey much this year either. Actually, I was just telling George about this ride yesterday while we were driving home from Solvang...I am torn because it was my first century and I thought about doing it again. On the other hand...I'd rather save my limited funds to pay for double centuries!

I just registered. Thanks for the tip. I did it last year and loved it, but it took me to my limits. I think I'm in better shape this year. What I'm really worried about is the Wildflower later this month, which is hillier than the Cool Breeze. All reassuring, comforting words welcome.

Then next year...you'll be saving all your money for triples.

Every once in a while, throw a few scraps to the peons below.

Hills are only hard half the time. Flats make you work the whole time.

This event won't sell out until July. They post the approximate number of open spots on the website.

Ok Brandy. We are scheduled to do the OC start for the B2B, and my 16 mph average, along with
the 80 miles PB would just hold you back. HHmmmm....... should I let her shame me on this ride.

Reaching Encanto park, Brandy is asked;
"Hey wasn't Drew with you?"
Brandy : Ya, I dropped him in the first 10 minutes.
Drew ( pulling in 1 hr later); Man, I got owned....:o

Sounds like a good idea. I like Coolbreeze, by August I won't want to ride any further inland
than the northbound lane of PCH.

BTW, it was fun riding with you and Tony on Saturday.
VB rides are always pretty good.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

I really miss C&C Music Factory. Freedom Williams never quite lived up to Ice-T's stature.

And, you're right. Brandy is a poseur. Posing for all the other poseurs who pose. People only see her at the beginning of rides now, where she hammers to the first turn, jumps into the bushes, then takes a helicopter to the finish line.

Well if you can do Wildflower - Cool Breeze is a piece of cake. BTW if you are wavering between Wildflower 100 or 75 do the 75, much prettier ride. Still tough but pretty.

CB Is a century I can go out and ride with little training behind me. It's got a great warm up of a flat 20 miles going out, the climbs are are scenic (although some of tough) and coming back is also that flat easy 20 miles and you have plenty of time to train and get ready. I would plan on the century. It's probably my favorite century ride.

I'll be signing up for the DM closer to the date (it will be my first crack at CB double metric). I've never known it to sell out and if it does, oh well. I've done the century three years in a row and can practically go out and ride it by memory! :D
