Check out this beauty...I think it is a Hooker tandem but not sure.:)

The airfoil down, seat tubes/posts, and rear cluster / rear stays -- well, that and the big sticker on the top tube under the captain that says HOOKER ELITE -- would indeed suggest that it's a Hooker. The Hooker TT tandems are like unicorns... we know a few exist but there aren't a lot of photos.
The frame that's often times confused with the Hooker is the equally rare Greg Cunefare or Campbell-Cunefare custom time trial tandem. I believe it may be the only one and has had a couple different owners. The first photo below shows the 'GregCunefare' being piloted by the builder, Greg, with Scott Schwartz stoking. The second photo shows the lone shifter for the rear derailleur that's operated from the stoker's position.

Perhaps the same C-CCycles TT tandem from David Hunter's Website photographed at Spokane in 2001. It's been sighted at the Masters Nationals a few times over the years since being built in '98 using a bunch of oversized tubing from Cannondale:

There's also a one-off GT time trail tandem running around out there somewhere that has an airfoil tubeset and at least one Yamaguchi TT tandem with Aero downtube, etc....

I am certainly glad that your browser / computer screen gave better resolution than mine. I could not make out the letters on the frame even under 400% magnification and relied on the pic file name. It was great that you could confirm the name.:rolleyes:

It's not so much better resolution as it is recognition.:rolleyes:
I just happen to be able to recognize the big honkin' sticker that Hooker used on its downtubes and the other frame features that are unique to Hooker's TT bikes. My apologies for interjecting.
I noticed that the Hooker tandem has aero or die bars :eek: i.e. no other place to put your hands to steer, balance or assist in starting.

Please, someone, how does the tandem time compare with the individual riders on proper TT bikes?? The old Double Gold Rush faired tandem could cruise at over 40 MPH.

I'm 99% sure Hermes was referring to the Captain's aero bar configuration (see cropped image below).
Again, and while not trying to be the camel sticking my nose in the tent, I think there may be some optical issues with the angle of the photo and the angle of the clip-on / aero bars that are making the minimal bullhorns look REALLY minimal.

You are right on both counts. In the pic, it looks like there are no bullhorns at all. With magnification, it is not completely clear. Another party from the bike performance forum referred to the bars as "aero or die". If there are there, they are minimal.

Wow, results for tandem elite men more than 2 minutes faster than non-tandem. That's pretty significant. I would love to ride one of those. I would guess that the handling isn't all that different than my triplet (the wheel base is probably about the same.) Although it would be amazing to have a powerful stoker in full tuck, or on the other hand I would love to be that stoker with a strong agile pilot. Either way, it would be a blast. Don't misunderstand, I love riding with my stokers, they are awesome, and we have a lot of fun going at a much slower speed, but for my sake it would be great to take nice fast turns, duck under the wind, and push each other to burn our legs just for the sake of a couple more seconds...

where did you get that bike for 3?? I want one b/c they look like fun. I was just thinking of fabbing up my own from 4 seperate steel frames to make a bike for 4......
