So who here is doing the London to Brighton this June.
For me this is my first year attempting the 50 odd mile trip and being a mountain biker firmly out of the superfit XC camp I'm not sure what to expect but looking forward to it all the same.
So let's see you hands and any hint's/tips/shortcuts would be handy ;)

Hi Elliott ..I've done the LtoB three times, always on a road bike. If I were to do it on a mountain bike I would most certainly put smooth tyres on, the drag of the knobblies will take your strength. Apart from taking water with you look upon it as a fun day out. There are food and toilet stops along the way so no need to panic. Watch out for Ditchling Hill. Up and down......Have fun

I did it on a mountain bike. It's all about having a laugh so don't worry about the tyres you use. The year we did it was roasting. It's a quality event so enjoy.
