Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just curious how many are out there? Im looking for some either newbies kinda like myself to ride with, or some good riders with patience, (I still walk uphill some, haha, but getting better!!)

Also looking for some good trails to ride? I know of Galbraith, but what else is there for Mt Bikes?

Thank you

John

PS, a few pics of a buddy and I on Galbraith a week and some ago. Enjoy!

I have never done much riding in the Chuckanuts so I can't speak to that. I have done a great deal of riding in Anacortes. I lived there for about 9 years. The trails there are really super. Lots of climbing, great singletrack decents, the rain shadow makes it dry-ish, hardly any trail traffic, and natural technical stuff. The donut house for pre ride stuff and the Brown Lantern ale house and Anacortes Brewery for after ride stuff.

Wow, nobody from up here, amazing... there must be some other forum where the locals visit?

No, there's a few out there, but not everyone comes and visits the regional forums, unfortunately. I try to point people this way when I say HI! in Introductions...

You might run a search. I could only find a few people, though. Ngateguy is in Everett, and a few others.

Here's a thread that might help you get going:

I'm a new local member. I'm about old enough to be your father if that your pic. try this though. people who ride Galbraith are extremely friendly. just join the Galbraith site and print off a few extra maps for your Camelback pack. just about every time I ride there I meet those who need a map. good way to meet riding partners, esp when they check out your Kona. everyone seems to break at the towers or at the top of Ridge Trail.
