Based on your experience or that of friends, where's the best bike shop for sales & service after the fact in Santa Barbara, SLO, or Ventura County? Who does the best fit?

+100 FasTrack (http://www.fastrackbicycles.com/) is the best; Hazard's is great too. Dave, the owner, was an Olympic cyclist and former mechanic for Lance. He knows his stuff but even better he knows his customers.

Open Air Bikes for service (voted Best-of-S.B. 10years+). Fastrack for performance goodies like high-end gear and fitting. Rory hangs out at Fastrack as well, he's got the World's amateur kilo record or something like that. :)

I'm sorry, but you've got to be kidding. Open Air has got to be the lamest shop in town. Maybe fine for casual recreational cycling but I wouldn't go there for anything serious. Even then I would pick Bob's over them. FastTrack and Hazards are best for serious road, Hazards is a great one-stop shop for Tri (especially since they share space with SB running) and has some MTB suff too. VeloPro is good for MTB (possibly the best), but I won't go there for road. My friend got SpeedPlay pedals there and the box was missing all of the cleat mounting hardware!
For maintenence, I like FastTrack, then Hazards, then Bob's. Dave at FastTrack always fits me in right away, Bob's will squeeze me in for emergency repairs if one of the guys I know is there. Hazards and VeloPro are more more picky about making appointments and usually go a week out...

My understanding is that they are no longer in business. I know they closed; have the relocated?
