Hey everyone I am just now getting back into riding and I am looking for some great trails or just anywhere to ride. I ride a MTB and was wondering on some good routes or preserves that allow bikes. I live in La Grange which is right by Oakbrook and Downers Grove. Any help would be great. Also may want to ride downtown where can I find some places to ride there as well
It's a little far from where you live but Rock Cut state park is pretty good for "mountain" biking for this area.

there's a free 2 week membership which is just enough time to find some good routes and print them out.
i've also found some good websites by googling them.

You caN start by taking your bike in or on your car to the Forest preserve across from brookfield zoo on 31st street . It has a paved trail now and that is what most people use but wherever you see singletrack check it out . I rode all over those woods when i was a kid and i am sure others still do.I have not ridden it in years though since i no longer have a suitable bicycle for it.Once you have ridden it you will have a better idea of where to pick it up nearer to you.

So I went to this trail yesterday. It turns out I can pick it up a few blocks from my house. I did not ride up to the Zoo but I rode toward 294. All the dirt trails were to muddy to ride, but the paved trails were great. Great ride along salt creek and lots of deer and other wildlife. Great ride......Thanks
