Haha . . . thought you could all get a laugh at my expense. I was cleaning out a desk drawer today and came across picts from my very-first-ever mountain bike race. It was a snow dual-slalom at a local ski resort, about year 2000. Dig the gaiters-over-old-sweatpants and the moto helmet stylin'. (I'm still a dork, but at least a better-dressed dork now:) ) Bike was a bone-stock Mongoose D-50i with Bontrager DH bars
Third shot was my first full DH season. Got some more gear that year and the bike got a Judy XLC dual-crown and a Fox Alps 5 air shock. Good times . . . .
