My friend gave me this bike to use as a beater but I ended up using my fixie. While I was regreasing/cleaning everything I noticed this bike has a freewheel in the crank as well as in the hub, plus each rear cog willl move independently. All this work and weight seems to be just to allow me to shift while coasting. But the novelty isn't worth 50 pounds of steel. This thing's in near perfect condition. It rides great and shifts crisply, is it worth anything?

IIRC that was a Shimano designed/developed system. And IIRC Schwinn used it for a couple of years. It isn't worth much, more as an oddity rather than a collectible.
