Recently got a Electra Townie after riding a Schwinn 10-sp for a number of years. Is a 3 spd internal hub, and after 3 seats, finally found one I like. Now if I can only get the speeds adjusted right.... Was OK until a bike shop guy tried to adjust it - now 1st and 2nd feel like 1st did and 3rd feels like 2nd.....:eek:

I was in Sanibel Island last year and rode around alot on a cruiser bike. :) It was great!!!

I haven't gotten myself a Townie yet but I would love to have one just for riding to the store and stuff!! :)

We sell Townies at our shop. Sounds like you need to take the bike back to where you originally purchased it and have the problem corrected.

BTW: What bike shop did you get it from -- Adventure Cycling, Cycle Spectrum, or Out Spoken Bike Shop?
