Classic & Vintage - Old photos of 19th Century and earlier bikes
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I need some photos of old pennyfarthings, bone shakers, safety bikes etc. from the 1800s on for a project on the History of Material Culture.
I would also love a few of old lamplighters or tall bikes. Links or images would be much appreciated.
This is the library of congress's online collection. You will find a ton of great stuff if you search it. I tend to get lost in there.
EDIT: BTW Baltimore transplants in TX are the greatest ever.

Lots of good stuff at this UK library site: http://www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/cgi-bin/toyota.tcl?thumbnails?bicycles?n=1

This isn't exactly what you asked for but it's an old family photo of a guy on an old bike of some kind
I don't know what the hell a bone shaker, tooth knocker or pennyfarthing is
He sure must have been proud of that bike to take a photo with it, though.
What kind of bike is it? Any nickname?
