What is up with David's Rear.D cable? That has to be the ugliest loop I have ever seen.

Was the mechanic on crack when he made it or is there some mechanical advantage to having your nokon cables in a weird angle?

Perhaps he simply rose to the considerable challenge of making the bike uglier.

He doesn't have the legs that Boonen does so he needs to resort to things like this to get people to look at him.

The seams on his skinsuit look like panty lines.

Doesn't seem to be slowing him down too much in the TTs so far this year :)

How long before you change yours to look like that?

Due to the SRAM rear derailleur...

Transition is not quite as smooth as D/A...

ding, ding, ding. second in that TT and first already this year in another race. Nokons hold what shape you bend them to so maybe the mech pulled the cable up a little to change the wheel and didn't push it back down, or someone bumped into it, or who cares he is frickn fast.

It's obviously the result of extensive wind tunnel testing! I've heard this scientific proven bend provides a more slippery aero profile for his RD that saves him 0.0213 watts/km.

Take note, poseur wannabes. This is the proper way to pose (ie: using your bike as a lawn chair). All others need not apply. Unless, of course, you're riding your keirin bike the wrong way on a sidewalk, talking on your cell phone.

The cable routing for the RD was probably verified as producing the least drag for that bike in the wind tunnel.

Thanks for reiterating what I already mentioned in post #1 :p

Maybe the mechanic added the extra half mile of Nokon to get the bike above the UCI weight limit!
