Just curious about everyones set-up. Are you using the factory oil and recommended level? Switched springs? Where are you running your pre-load and dampening? Basically I want to know what you did, why you did it and if it worked. A little info about your weight and riding style would be helpful.

I weigh about 160 lbs, ride a local fire road most of the time which is hard pack, loose, rutted and lots of off camber turns.

Any comments on a 98' Z1 are welcome as well.

Thanks

Wildhare, I just recently installed a z-2 atom on my beater bike. I love it so far. I have switched out the springs for the X-tra Heavy, but that's the only mod I've made so far. I'm 200 + and the stock springs just didn't cut it for my size, even with the compression turned all the way down. I'll probably also add a little more oil when I get some spare time to play around.

Running a 99 Z1, stock springs, stock oil setup. Weigh 150, ride very aggressive, lots of rocky single track. My riding style is: Ride over everything, parts be damned. Fork has held up well, still haven't bottomed the thing out (100mm travel). Needs an oil change, but otherwise, riding very nice. I recommend the Marz., they are a little on the heavy side, but after breaking 2 Manitous I opted for the strength and smoothness of the Zokes.
