R&B Bicycle Club is announcing their annual Julian Bicycle Festival.

On Saturday May 5th we run our 58 Mile road ride around the Laguna Triangle. This ride is for the more conditioned road rider. Lots of climbing and descents. We feel this is one of the finest and most scenic rides in all of southern California. Also featured is our KOM contest for riders to the top of Mt. Laguna. After the ride we treat you to world famous Julian Pie and ice cream along with refreshments.

On Saturday May 6th we offer our 22 mile MTB ride. This ride has it all, Pavement single track dirt road and great scenery. After the ride Julian Pie and ice cream is offered along with refreshments.

Do one day or both. On site camping is available. This year we offer a new start finish area at Frank Lane Park, right in Julian. Now you can easily walk to Julian's restaraunts, shops and stores with no need to get into a car! Bring the family and make a weekend of it.

Wow, that sounds like a great weekend of riding. I'm riding in NV or I'd consider. Thanks for the info! :)

Two weeks away. Road ride on Saturday and Mountain bike ride on Sunday. Do one or both.

Hill climb challenge up to the top of Mount Laguna. An 11 mile 2300 foot climb. Total ride distance of 58 miles with some of the best road cycling and scenery in Southern California. Julian pie and ice cream at the end of the ride.

Camp at Frank Lane park or enjoy fine lodging in and around Julian.

Bring the family and let them enjoy Julian while you are out riding.

May is usually one of our best months with mountain flowers and greenery.

I noticed that the San Clemente Challenge bike ride has been cancelled this year. It drew a big crowd last year. It was the same date as the Alpine Challenge which is coming up this weekend, so you might want to think about the Alpine Challenge as an alternative ride.

That way you will be in shape for the Julian Bicycle Festival!

Weather looks great for this weekend with highs in the 70's.

Riders may register the day of the event. Registration opens at 7:00 A.M. and the ride starts promptly at 9:00 A.M.

There will be a hillclimb competition up Sunrise Hwy. An 11 mile 2300 foot climb. Certificates for riders of both genders and age groups. Riders regroup in Pine Valley at the rest stop before we start the climb.

Be aware of the start finish change from previous years. This year it is right in Julian at Frank Lane park. Two blocks NW of the 4 way stop on Farmers road.
