Hi,
I have hays disk brakes and my back disk is hitting the brakes slightly from being a bit warped I guess, causing some friction and some rubbing sound. I was wondering if I can make some adjustment like loosing up the brakes somewhere to make it a bit looser between the brake and the disk so it will not rub. I see a little knob on the disk brake itself but I dont want to touch anything and mess it up even worse.

If the brakes are new you will have to burnish the pads for a day or so.. I think something like 30 stops. If the sound doesn't go away after that try taking the pads out and cleaning them. Use some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. I've had a similar problem and got some good answers here... I'll let the pros tell you the rest. You will soon learn that poker cards have more use than just playing games. :D

Are they Hydrualic or mechanical? I know with my Hopes, they are an closed system, so I can adjust the pads from the handlebars, but my Hayes are open, so I have to bleed them to get the right amount of clearance... discs are never fun, until they are working! :)
