For all you red star folks, here's the pic:

Does this mean you're going to start boycotting this site?

:D

Actually, since they, 24 Fitness, gave me a screaming awesome deal ($24.99/month for all Supersports and above and access to all gyms, and after 3 years, $27/year), I have to say, I'm not boycotting anything. If 24 hour fitness paid to advertise here, great! That supports this site. :D

 You're funny. Of course, I can be bought. Everyone has a price. Of course, it helped that since, a) I NEED a gym and b) they are in my office building and c) I was paying $60/month! I yelled, screamed and pretty much got the manager to give me the "get her the hell out of here" deal. :D (Actually, I don't remember the guy's name, but the sales manager who gave me the deal was really very nice - and I didn't really yell at him at all. ;))

Now that explains why my membership went up.

24 Hour is the WalMart of the health club industry.

$27/year after 3 years is a screaming deal.

Yes, but of course, they are hoping I'll drop out (folks like me, that is). What they don't know is that I will use my membership for as long as I'm fortunate enough to have my health. But I agree, Frank....Walmart of the health club industry! (or even the Kmart, for that matter) :D

That would be worth it just for the shower/changing facilities...

That would be worth it just for the shower/changing facilities...Exactly.....if I were homeless and living off my bike, I'd jump on a deal like that.

Roadfix... :p Seriously, it saves me water, electricity at home when I work out in the morning and shower there! :D I should have done that this morning because now I'm too lazy to go and I'm having Italian for dinner tonight! The place I'm going isn't so lowfat either. I'd better ride hard tomorrow. :o

Do you all actually have time to go to the gym after work & outdoor riding? Or is this mainly for like a 5am spin class?

I have a gym at my rental place and one at work, but I've only used it like 4 times in total within these ~3 yrs. :o

BTW, do others with red stars see the ad? Just want to figure out if it's my adblock browser plugin that's been blocking the ads.

It's hard to find time, Dave, I'll admit. This week, I only went once! (rode twice, but my weight work suffered). I've got to get back to my regular routine which is upper body weights/jump rope 2x/week and then lower body weights/spin class 1x/week. But while riding all these back to back centuries and then the doubles, I'm finding that my stamina is decreased a little (especially on the legs!). I do have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to make the time, however, and since I'm single without even so much as a plant to water (other than my peaceful plant when needs watering only 1x every two weeks), I can squeeze it all in. I have no idea how those with spouses, children or pets do it all!

I know what you mean. This work stuff is for the birds ... and what do I have to do this weekend? be on-call. Damn! It sure puts a damper on training!

Sorry, Ron. :( Yes, I'm lucky I don't have to work weekends, but the 9-6 hours, M-F, put a hamper on the riding too. Too bad I can't get paid to just ride my bike. :p
