What tires do you race on? Yes, I searched. Honest.

I'm using Kenda Kaliente's right now but I am considering trying out some Schwalbe's.

I've used Schwalbe Evolution tires, with separate front and rear treads. I liked those. I now use Michelin Pro Race 2's, which I also like.

I've been using Conti Grand Prix 4000's with a lot of success. Not the lightest tire out there, but tough as nails.

Anyone tried the new Schwalbe Ultremo?

I'm running the Ultremos right now. I like the tire a lot, but they cut very easy.
The good: more of a round profile like a tubular, excellent grip in the wet, good road feel, lightweight.
The bad: many cuts so far (but no punctures). The Vectran barrier has prevented flats thus far, but I have to wipe down my tires after every ride to inspect for new cuts and then use super glue to seal the new cuts.
I had a set of Vittoria Open Corsa Evo's that were like this with the added bonus of frequent punctures.

I've always had good luck with ProRace2's.

Pro2's are a great tire, and cheap from PBK.

Just laid a big cut into my Pro2's, though, so I switched to the Specialized Mondo S-Works Open Tubulars (team deal). Unlike the regular Mondos, the casing is 290 TPI like a lot of tubulars. It's the most supple-feeling tire I've ever put on. Ride report to follow.

+ 1 on the PR2's and probike kit. They are about half price.

I use the Vittoria Open Corsa EVO CX whatevers. I can never get that name right. I'm not the type of guy to detect minutae like tire difference, so I just cave and go with what my race buddies swear by. I've heard Veloflex are great for TT's.

I ran Veloflex clinchers for quite a bit of last year. They were delightfully smooth and light. Durability? Not so much. Easy to mount? Egads no! I'd buy 'em if I found 'em in the 50% off bin again.

These tires have been very good to me.
