Just got back from todays race. What a day.
I barley arrive in time to register, only get one practice run. Of course I have a spactacular crash in the practice run off the first jump at the top which destroys my goggles and tears my pant to shreds. So I just roll the rest of the course just to see if there were any changes from last week when we were there. Everything was cool.
Once I get to the bottom I grab an orange and a drink and then head up the lifts. I come to find out my start time is 11min in and the lift ride is 15. Damn:mad:
So I get on the lift and should be able to make my time by a minute. just before the top the lift stops and I miss my time by 20 sec. Luckly they allowed me to still get my first run in but after everyone else.
Ok. My time has come for the first run. I take off on the 6th beep, clear the first jump and start flying into the right hand berm just before the double I cased in practice ( I was going to slow to jump it and to fast to rollit).
I have never attempted this double because it has a 20' gap( which I hat gaps). As I exit the berm I say FU*# it and just start blasting towards the jump. Up Up and away I go. Clear the double with a perfect landing on the tranny. It was an awesome feeling. So I start bombing the course.
I get to this small rock garden and have a brain fart. next thing I know my rear tire is passing by my head and my face is filling with dirt. Shyte:mad:
I get up and have to unwrap all the tape from my bike before I can get going.(In amazment no one has passed me yet:D) Well I did get passed towards the bottom but I expected that.
Alright, second run. I blast through the entire course with out a hitch. Damn fine run:thumbup:
Well here is the kicker. I look for my final results and realize that I was racing the super sport class. It is a class that Team Big Bear created for the sport riders who should be racing expert but are serious sandbaggers. I was supposed to be in the Sport class.
Any ways all i can say is
