Road Cycling - Woohoo...my first Ti Road Bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
It's my first Ti bike and rides soooo nicely. The way I have the bike setup, it's pretty stiff, but it tracks so well. It's a custom Dean frame with butted Ti tubing which has standard road geometry but uses 650c wheels. The wheels are Nimble Spiders, group is Ultegra, Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork, ITM Millenium stem and handlebars, Easton EC70 seatpost.

What size is trhe frame? It looks like a nicely balanced design with those cute little 650c wheels.

Hey! The same bottle cage as I have, the profile design ones, just that mine is yellow. Do you have any intentions of changing it?

The size of the frame is 50cm (c-c). This is one of the reasons why I went with 650c - bike frame at that size looks more balanced with the smaller wheels. Plus the other benefts: lighter, quicker to spin up, stiffer. But you have to be in a higher gear to go the same distance as with 700c wheels.

I actually like the Profile cages. Performs very well, looks good, tough as nails.

Yes, that should be sweet. Dean has an auction area on their site every month. They rotate all of the frames that they make. The auction starting prices are way lower than their regular prices. That's how I got my frame. This makes their frames more affordable.

I have a small-frame bike (52cm), but I think it looks really cool and very aggressive with 700's, though if you prefer a balanced look, the 650's are definitely the way to go. The bike looks awesome!

Thanks guys/gals for the comments.
The gearing is 53/42 upfront and 11-23 in the back. I use a 55 chainring on the tri-bike, which uses 650c-sized wheels as well, but on this bike it is unnecessary. I haven't topped out as yet :D
...and another pic....

Hahaha...uhhh...umm...who's Botero?
Actually, I've always ridden on a rear cluster like that. I guess I'm used to it. I might change the 42 chainring to a 39. By no means am I a powerful rider - I'd rather spin.
