View Full Version : why no picture/art forum?

I was just wondering why there isn't a forum dedicated to bike art, pictures of your bike, pictures taken of you biking, the area you bike in, party bike shots, bikes doing it and other assorted things...
Seems reasonable to post your shots in a particular thread like, Mountain Biking, if it's a shot of you biking on a mountain or wanting to show a shot of a trail... or Road for a shot of your snazzy road bike paint job or the pot hole you just hit... But, what of the others and furthermore wouldn't it be simpler to just have a dedicated forum for pics to 'show off'? (not pics used in explanations for mechanical purposes or other such things)
*shrug*
Just wondering...

i was wondering that same thing...in the vintage/classics there's a most disapointing collection...not disapointing for the pics, they're great, but there are so few! i want to find a nice meaty gallery to feast on all the beautiful bikes!

There are some big changes being developed, but not sure when they will be released to the forum. All I can say is - it's coming (tm). ;)

Well, at least that's a positive spin. The other side of that would be, what's the point if there's no place to properly showcase it and not have it buried amongs more topical posts.
With today's annoucement of the purchase of BikeForums by Internet Brands I can tell you that Joe has been working on new features for the forum for several months now. The sale along with other personal commitments have slowed down the development and release of these features (which includes a gallery I am told). Hang tight for a while longer and as news arrives we'll post it.

You'll just have to make do with the C & V forum for the moment....
check out the link for VeloBase.com in cuda's signature for some good stuff on components though :) .
