Doesn't matter. Everyone knows red is the fastest color. I don't have a red bike, which is why I'm so slow.

Navy or Red, but not both on the same bike, that wouldn't look as good.

Any color, except BLACK, I hate those dark, subdued colors. In my eyes this years crop of production bikes are UGLY!:thumbdn:
I prefer the "industrial look" so it's metallic colours and carbon/graphite for me.

My first road bike was purple: still my favorite color.

Scuba Yellow, Anno green that the Santa Cruz Blur is, as a second choice.
But basic elegant black, speaks to me as well.

Daark, deep forest green. :)
My first bike was green too, so I have this idea that a real bicycle should be green. Oh yeah and
bicycle that I rode at 4 years old - was also green.
Tomorrow I will paint my ugly grey Schwiin in a color, you guessed - GREEN. :D
Oh yeah, green bike is pretty invisible laying in the grass if rangers are looking for you from the helicopter somewhere in Denali National Park... :D:D
what about natural? Don't you like it bare...
Aluminum
Titanium
Carbon
I like black and silver...

I, personally don't like such colors because they remind me of "NEW BIKES"... while I like classic :D old, traditional touring bicycles... :D
IMHO. :p

Maybe I should update my colour to Brown, since my bike is always covered in Mud!!

Two of my bikes are solid red, and I'm still slow.
One is black, one is blue/green and white and one is gold.
My favorite color is celeste, on a Bianchi of course.

the bike that's given me the most joy over the years is a horrible spraycan blend of greens, with some silver, pink, and black in there. if it wasn't mine, i'd probably think it was hideous.
otherwise, black and british racing green are very nice. when i was looking at new bikes earlier this year, i was tempted by 'burnt orange', but ended up going with good ol' basic black.
the hideous paint job in question :
http://bile.best.vwh.net/images/bikes/bikes/konafull.jpg
you can see why i'd never buy a new bike that looks like that, but that bike's been very good to me.
favorite color for bikes for me is either red with yellow lettering (my current rode bike is this color); or yellow with red lettering. Wow, there's some imagination! I don't mind some varations of that theme, such as the Colnago Master Series has a yellow with black lettering.
I prefer brighter colors because I feel other people can see me better-I don't know if brighter colors actually do that or not.

Silver and Black....no, I'm not a Raiders fan. I also like Blue and Yellow together.
My old 4130 chromoly fully rigid 1990 Nishiki Ariel was one of my favourite bikes and had a great paintjob. It was called "Blue/Black Zolotone" but I called it "Midnight Blue" (there was a song that was popular by the same name around that time). It was a deep dark blue with little flecks of random colours that made it look light the night sky. MTBs during those days (early 90s) had pretty neat paintjobs I thought. Very popular was the cracked/spider-web look that was on many of the Trek frames.

Red.
If your bicycle is yellow, it has to have Campy parts or Murphy gets pissed-off.
You don't want Murphy pissed-off at you.

I actually find it strangely attractive.
Definately fuchsia.
Also good, in alphabetical particular order, are:
alizarin crimson - - amethyst - - avocado - - azure - - banana - - bisque - - buff - - burgundy - - canary - - cardinal - - carnation - - carmine - - chartreuse - - cyan - - ebony - - emerald - - grape - - indigo - - lilac - - lime - - magenta - - maroon - - mauve - - mustard - - ocher (or "ochre", if you prefer) - - primrose - - russet - - saffron - - salmon - - sapphire - - sepia - - sienna - - tangerine - - taupe - - teal - - turquoise - - ultramarine - - vermilion -- vert
Who wouldn't want a primrose bike? :D
No such thing as a best color, only a color someone likes.
Another vote for Carbon Black, with the odd dash of White for a bit contrast...

I don't know bout that, the full chrome paramounts
(p10,p13 etc.) are downright gorgeous (and better made
than the same painted versions, don't ask).
As for colour?
BIG BOY BLUE

i'll tell it you said so.
that look is the result of over a decade of sticker-and-spray-can touchup work.
the original paint job was pretty grim, it was from the era of "splatter paint" for mountain bikes. if you look closely, you can see some it coming through.

I vote red or orange or yellow.
My bike is white with red, so I am slightly fast.

Celeste , the only color.
I'd have to go with red and black.

I guess I better scrounge up some cash and head to the LBS.:crash: :D
For a further explanation of Marty's comment, check the following link: My Legend Ti (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?s=&postid=94570#post94570). Sorry about the size of the picture. Also, the blue is actually darker than it looks.
