Gads, I love winter and skiing, but $#!~ ! I didn't expect THIS! Yesterday wasn't bad, ~30 F but the sun was shining. Today it's, what 22? and snowing? Gonna have to dig out the thermal jacket and everything!

No kidding, I took five days off to vacation in Door County hoping to get some good biking in. When I heard the forecast was for snow, flurries, flurries, flurries, and snow, I decided to leave the bike at home. :(

Rode 50 miles yesterday with the following:

Long sleeve base layer
Bibs
Performance Triflex Tights for wind
PI Kodiak Heavy Winter Jersey
vest
Outer wind shell
full booties
wool socks
winter cap
windblocker full finger gloves

...and I was so wind burnt and cold when I got home 3 hours later people were asking me if I was sun burnt.

Brrrrr.

Actually, it wasn't THAT bad ... I guess about 30F, snow flurries, and breezy. The hardest part was getting motivated to clip in and pedal.

"This is what I want to do. I WANT to do this. I'm GOING to do this" <-

I was shocked when I saw someone else out, and by the end TWO other guys out !

Only got an hour in, but that was enough.
