Bob Roll FTW!
It's on, it's on. Started with the race half way through.

Apparently the weather really f*cked up the earlier coverage. That weather looks harsh.
Hmm, isn't it live? But yea, looks pretty cold. It's like that here in Colorado, but I'm not riding today :)

wow, I love how they're taking time to explain the tactics! I've always believed that cycling popularity will increase with the overall familiarity of Americans with the sport.
AND it's relatively good timing. Much better to be showing it at 2:30 than at 4:30 in the morning they sometimes do.
Ahh well, I just like watching cycling.

That weather is gonna wreak havoc on the field. Today is definitely a day that will be decided by who can suffer the most.
Damnit, I just realized that my trainer is at my friends house. This would be a PERFECT opportunity to do some indoor stuff since the weather outside is so miserable. Crap.

Are there going to be any climbs in this race?
It's not bad. And it's going on for another few hours. But now we have a description of the new bike trail in Virginia.
Yes, once they get into town there are some good climbs.
Are there going to be any climbs in this race?
There's a cobblestone hill, but I'm not sure how tall it is.

Wow, narly start to the race. Never rode through snow. This is awesome. Nice way to introduce racing to the homes.

The road they're riding on right now is an ascending one.

Nice football anaolgy, comparing drafting to a football linebacker opening a hole for a running back. Really nice analogy, good way to make cycling understandable for Americans.

that's sooo sooo cruel. But dag the big three fell back turned into the big one..I guess they figured they'd rejoin with their teams and breakaway on the downhills.

Well, this coverage is not helping the big problem with cycling. Nobody knows who any of these guys are and it just looks like a mess of lycra lunatics. They really need to have the rider names and teams come up, at least for the guys in the break.

I load up on caffine pre-race all the time.
I can understand why but it causes you to lose control of your heart rate. Caffeine tires your heart and its a laxative. Who wants to take a dump mid-race?

why does Virginia have a holocaust museum??

He's trying to get an endorsement from Jack Daniels, and they don't like clean-shaven men.
