...marks the 1 year anniversary of my return to cycling.
1 year, 1400 miles, and 25+ lbs lighter. Not bad for a former 20 year couch potato.
I feel better than I have in I don't know how long. I won't even count the ways.
Well, Kenny, what took ya so long to come back? A question for the ages.
Here's to the next year (and maybe, just maybe a new road bike)
N.B. I type this after n hour of spinning in the mid 90's on the trainer followed by a mile and a half of some short standing hill climbs. One year ago, I couldn't make it once around the block without stopping.
I never dreamed.

Sir,
You are to be warmly congratulated on a job Very Well Done. The biggest obstacles we face, are those we invent within ourselves. You've had the great pleasure of seeing the illusion of those obstacles and putting them aside.
Ride on!

Congratulations on a good year and here's to many more
I know I'm in better physical condition at 64 than I was in my late forties.

You've lost more weight than I have, but I'll bet my knees are better now compared to a year ago than yours are. Congratulations anyway. Ain't life grand?

I modified Beverly's post just a little to fit me.:)
Congratulations on one year. Mine will be in July and I feel great as well. I'm glad I started.

Well done, SaiKaiTai. It's been 2 1/2 years for me, and I still have to shake my head when I think about waiting so long to get started. Who would have thought a healthy exercise habit would be this much fun?
Make that new road bike a nice one. One of the things I've noticed about spending so much money on this cycling addiction: my budget doesn't seem to suffer because, spending so much time riding, I now spend less money on everything else. Congrats on the year.
