I'm having an LBS pack up my bike for the trip home for the summer. Do I put my pedals, wrenches, aerobars all in with it or pack those in my suitcase? Thanks

They'll probably pack anything that is bolted to the bike and the bike itself. But I had to remove my pump, water bottle, and saddle bag and pack them separately.

Just fit what you can comfortably fit, make sure it has newspaper or soft stuff around it all so it doesnt rub, and pack the rest seperatly

I always carry my saddle as handluggage.Luggage does get lost or mis-directed. I can just about stand losing the bike, it is possible to hire or buy bikes at the destination, but my Brooks B17 is irreplaceable.

Very important. :) I will ship my bike from LA to New York, but WILL carry the brake pads myself, in the pocket, walking through the desert... :)

By the way, it's a joke. :p
