BMX - can someone explain?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I would assume they are all different process for heat treating or welding the metal. Or just different companys from different countrys. You also forgot to mention the best of them all 41 thermal, and SuperTherm and 4bake!

In addition to 4130, there is another hard-to-find CrMo called 4435.
The numbers are the percentages of Chrome and Molybdinium.
4130 is 4.1% Chrome and 3.0% Molybdinum.
wethepeople
04-08-07, 11:23 AM
4.4% Chrome, 3.5% Molybdenum.

4.4% Chrome, 3.5% Molybdenum.
That's right.
There are two different spellings of Molybdinum, Molybdinium, depends on what side of the Atlantic your English is spoken.
Same goes for Aluminum, Aluminium.
4435 CroMo is an aircraft alloy, which ,IIRC, is used extensively in the Air Force's new F-22 Fighter Plane.
4435 is only slightly better than 4130. A bicycle alloy known as Columbus SL is was better than either.

You obviously didn't read the last two posts... Mude is my age, chances are, he doesn't have a car. My family has 8 cars, and technically, I don't even have a car.
EDIT: Mude, you could just take a field trip over here and bring your cereal. We can go out to lunch and supply our own food.
when i get my liscense it will be one of the first things i do.
but in the meantime..

I like Honey Nut Cheerios. But unfortunately my braces got tightened, or a new wire whatever you want to call it yesterday. So it's going to be soup for the next week. :(
Children's Tylenol doesn't work. I took like 7. My grillz hurt yo.
