We had a BBQ at the Stonegate park in San Jose yesterday, with probably thirty riders showing up. Not bad for a one-day notice and a forecast of rain. Anyway, here's the video.

Riders: Sean Bryant, Cole Nielsen-Cole, Chris McMahon, Nick Valencia, Tony Campos, Dakota Mattert, Kevin Kiraly
Music: Pixies - Surfer Rosa - "Break My Body"
Filming/Editing: Chris McMahon
Additional Filming: Shawn Hott
Length: 2m:21s

Quicktime and Google Video version are both here: http://www.sjbmx.com/cms/videos/20070408_bbq-was-ok-i-guess

A cliffhanger a no-handed hang ten. You're thinking of the hiphanger/darkside. Shawn really could have filmed my clips a bit better, though; he was pretty far away for the magic carpet slide, so it looks like a doublepeg...

Sidenote: I have pegs on for the first time in five years. React.

Is a flare on concrete with no pads fairly normal? Because I thought that was absolutely ridiculous! (In a good way)

Beerman is famous. He's also a fairly good rider.

P.S. I'm kidding Beerman. You rock my socks.

Beerman is famous.

I was declared a NorCal legend at a recent video premiere, and fellow NorCal legend/X-Games gold medalist Joey Garcia knows my name, so... yeah.

Who was the first rider?

Sean Bryant. It kind of says it in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

No brakes, too.

Congratulations. With your riding ability, you deserve to be known.

What riding ability? I only have two tricks: x-downs and forced-style turnbar bike-wiggler airs.

I know what x-ups are but what are x-downs? And that other one to. What is that?

You also have those sick rodeo grinds and more pedal grinds than anyone here could probably list (with the exception of yourself, of course). And of course your favorite trick, which just so happens to be clicked to hell and back a few million times.
