Very sad. And the driver literally RAN away, after leaving the vehicle at the site of the accident. Hopefully the cyclist will make a full recovery.

That's just so sad ... and a pretty high end bike too. No driver's license and no id ... just sickening

Damn we plan on moving to RSM this summer just for the fact that is has nice WIDE bike lanes. This again goes to show no matter how safe you try to be you are never really safe.

Scary stuff. I was riding in that same area just a couple hours before. The "accident" became a crime the minute the idoit ran from the scene. I wish the rider all the best.

The bad thing about that area is there is an older peoples retirement community right there, my mom lived in it and I would not have liked to have been on the streets, riding my bike, while she was driving. It can happen anywhere though.

Has anyone seen any updates? I haven't seen or heard anything since Sunday, and I can't find anything at the local on-line news sites. I'm concerned about the cyclist, and hoping that no new news is good news...

I feel for his family, I know what it's like I went throught same thing 7 weeks ago. I wish him and his family the best!
