Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Went back out to oak mtn today and did the full 17mile loop. it was awesome. It was a great day to ride. Not to many people out there and the trails were not crowded at all. I had a blast and am looking forward to going back out there again.

These are some pics i took last weekend out at oak mtn. Had a good ride last weekend and the only thing i screwed up was i busted a pedal when i hit a slick bridge to fast and wiped out. These pics were taken with my cell phone so the quality is not the best.

P.S. the walmart bike is still holding up.....

oak mtn state park. took around 2 1/2 hours for the whole loop including stopping for pics. phone is a LG vx8300 i think is the model, its a 1.3 megapixel camera. Yep it was fun. Got a little chilly as the sun started going down but was great weather over all. this makes the third weekend in a row i have been out there. Ill stop and take more pics of the singletracks next time im out there. At one point i hit 21mph coming down a hill on a trail thats like as wide as my handle bars. talk about a rush

I hadn't even noticed that.

BlkGuitarRedCar - Be sure to remove that kickstand if you go out on any trails. You can get quite hurt with a kickstand. If you use your bike around town, you can easily add/remove the kickstand but you should definitely take it off for the trails.

Yeah, I graduated from UAB. That was where I got the cycling bug. I used to ride OM 3-4 times a week. Since I graduated I have moved to North Alabama where trails are scarce. I ride mostly on the road now, but I was able go make it down to B'ham Saturday and rode the full 17mi. loop. If you live close take full advantage of that trail. I have ridden all over the southeast, and OM is as good as any I have ridden.
