I plotted the ride with routeplanner. The elevation graph looks dramatic and it sure felt that way. The link above shows it. I have a 12-27 on the back but it sure didn't help this time. How much better would a compact crank be? I have ultegra 9 speed. Would the R700 be a straight forward replacement. How does the FSA compact compare?
