I have a Sigma BC800 with a wireless setup. The thing stopped logging any info during my last weekend ride. I did not crash or drop the comp (it has been dropped before, though, and then one of the digits stopped displaying for good). I just went for a break, took the comp with me, came back, clicked it in and the stupid thing would not work.

At first I thought the magnet was too far from the transmitter part in the fork. Nope. Then I checked batteries, from both the transmitter and receiver with the test mode. Both work ok (transmitter notices the magnet as it passes by; and receiver registers the transmitter's signal). But none of this gets recorded in the computer.

There is nothing visibly wrong with comp's connections and once the comp is in place, it fits snugly. There is no noticeable play. The computer reacts to buttons normally. In short, everything appears to be in perfect order, except none of my kilometreage gets logged in :crash: .

Any ideas?

underneath the computer there are two conductors. try shorting it by tapping(fast) unto your seatpost or anything metallic.

The digits(speed) should go up...

If it does, it must be your wiring....

I had a similiar problem and solved it by giving the two conductors (as dexmax states) underneath a clean. I can only assume, in my scenario, a bit of dirt was messing with the connection.

Hope you fix it, Portent.
