Northeast - Princeton Classic 200k

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I plan on riding the Princeton Classic 200k (http://www.njrando.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20) this weekend. I'll be taking NJ Transit from Penn Station in NYC. This will be the longest ride I've ever done so I don't really know what to expect. If anyone else is in a similar situation, I'd be happy to try and keep a 15mph average pace with you and finish in less than 9 hours.
If you want to get a Brevet credit for PBP, you have to join RUSA before saturday. They require front and rear lights.

Hey - I am planning to do the ride too. What have you learned about the train schedules, etc.?

Here's the NJ transit schedule (http://www.njtransit.com/sf_tr_schedules.jsp?action=entry&resptype=U&MinB=0&MinA=0&Fare=Y&Line=&LineDesc=&LineLookup=&LineExt=&LineExt2=&STime=12%3A00+PM&RTime=1%3A00+PM&Oloc=New+York+Penn+Station&OSID=105+++++&Dloc=Princeton&DSID=124+++++&back=sf_tr_schedules.shtml&ori=105+++++%3ANew+York+Penn+Station&des=124+++++%3APrinceton&DOW=S&mm=4&dd=10&yyyy=2007&date=4%2F10%2F2007) for saturday

Here's the details from the director himself:
Proof of a RUSA membership in progress, i.e. form is in the mail is good enough for this to count towards PBP. There are between 35 and 40 registered riders already, so getting there at 6:30 is probably a good idea to mass start at 7. NJ transit has no bike restrictions. I've attached the entry form for the ride (not for RUSA membership).
PM me for my phone number if you want to meet up at Penn Station.
