Well, my brand new '07 Langster had a short life. Two 1/2 months in and now it's broken. I just dropped $150 on it today too.... and then I wrecked. I clipped a bush and went over the handlebars.... then I woke up with a broken bike. My brand new brake levers are trashed... they made it for about 10 miles scuff free. However, the good news is I'm ok except a couple scratches. Also, my dad sells Specialized so I can find myself a new frame at a reasonable cost. Guess I have to commute on my Stumpjumper for a bit.

How is it broken? Or are you just describing the marred levers? Good to hear that you're not too badly injured.

Hehe, I never claimed to be a smart and safe rider. But everyday I cruise down my street and when I get to the block I live on, I go down the sidewalk from the street. Well, today was the day that I went too fast and went too far on the outside of the sidewalk and clipped the bush. There's now a huge hole in the bush though... kinda funny to look at.

That crease doesn't sound too good for the aluminum frame. Sorry that you'll need to spend more money for another bike.

Probably not as funny as you looked being swallowed by it!

We all have our bush stories...

Wow... it's not my week. So I'm commuting on my Stumpjumper FSR. The 26x2.20 tires aren't exactly made for the street but it's fun to bunny hop things. So, today my chain broke... and SOMEHOW, I don't know how, but it locked up my back wheel and I skidded out.... and fell right in the middle of a busy intersection. I felt like a silly goose.

Also, my father told me that Specialized doesn't sell JUST Langster frames... the low end ones anyways. So, I'm getting a new one, but at least I'll have every spare part ever needed for it. I'm gonna call Specialized myself tomorrow and see what's up.

Now if that were only steel, you'd just need a paper towel, a pencil, and some rubber cement and you could repair it for $0.65. Stupid aluminum!!!

You should ask around the board, and see if anyone is getting
rid of their special edition IRO that they may have ordered in
haste.
