This summer, a group of students including myself from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and other schools will be biking from New York to San Diego over the course of 65 days, starting May 25 and ending August 3. Along the way, we will be spreading awareness and understanding about cancer throughout schools, hospitals and communities across the nation.
Our goals are to connect children affected by cancer with their peers enabling them to share their stores and to raise $100,000 for the American Cancer Society Cancer Research Fund and Camp Kesem.
The organizers of this event have done RAGBRAI and have toured here and abroad, but have not undertaken something of this magnitude. We have taken pages from similar events organized by UTexas and Johns Hopkins. If you could help by simply visiting our website at http://illini4000.org/ we would appreciate it. If you are willing to donate or live in any of the communities en route, we would love and appreciate hearing from you!
Thank you for reading and happy riding!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
