Maybe little high, but if it fits it can't be that bad of a deal.

Gaspipe frame with cheap componentry in nice shape for a high price.

Not sure what the going prices are on the Kansas CL, but personally, I'd wait around a bit.

Here are some much better deals I found:

Panasonic (in East Hill frame size though)

Oddball fellow, but some good stuff probably at a good price

And of course...if you don't see what you want, put up a "WANTED"...

Take care,

The bike and the kitchen look nice and clean. What kind of derailers does it have? Check out that best offer link first. The price is about what I would expect to get for one on ebay. Not super high but not cheap

Don't think I'd pay that much for that bike.

Looks like a P7 to me. I had one, sold it to a kid to ride on campus for $50.

Panasonic (in East Hill frame size though)

That is a nice little Panasonic! Why are all these great bikes coming out just when I've decided I can't fit anymore into the garage (well, perhaps one or two more... :o )

Looks like a later P6/8 somewhere in there. If it fits, it's probably not a terrible deal. It's not exotic, but it looks like it's in great shape. See if they will take $85?

Kurt,
E/F Schwinns are gaspipe! one of these Pugs is about 1/3rd the weight of a 70's era Conti!:D

Seems like the seller is moving out of town. I'll see if i can get a better price. I guess the general census is that the price is a tad too high for that bike. If that's the case, what do you all suggest?

I'm not looking for a classic bike. I'm looking for a cheap roadbike - the new ones these days are insanely priced, unless i get them from some inter(BD)net shop....I'm doing this because, i'm not too sure if i would truly love the sport the put that much money in.

I've got a Trek 7.2FX and it rides well.... just not a roadbike that's all...

thoughts?

The reasonableness of the price depends on the location. That bike is in nice condition, it looks like, and would certainly be worth $150 in Portland, NYC, and the Bay Area. In Kansas City, I have a hard time seeing it as being worth $150. If he's moving and motivated to sell, make him a reasonable offer.

See if he'll take $100.00.

I paid $100 for my Peugeot which is a little more expensive model, but that one looks much cleaner. I'd pay $80-$100 if the bike fit me and I really wanted/needed a road bike.

Thanks all! I really appreacite it. I'll go see the bike tomorrow, maybe get a test ride.
Well, i don't need it. Want is a good word, just want to be sure that Road Biking is a sport that i want to invest my resources in....
