Classic & Vintage - Schwinn Prologue

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I am having trouble finding info about the NON Funny Bike version of this....
Although it is a traditional looking bicycle, is it TT geometry? and if so what exacly would that equate to in the early 90's?
Also I believe this was 3rd in the Schwinn line up (circa 92), is this correct?
I am looking at one to become my first road bike, so any insite you have would be great!
The last that I find the Prologue is the 1989 catalog. It is right under the Paramounts and sold as a frameset only. There were two levels of Paramounts, so technically you may be correct about it being third in the hierarchy. My catalog doesn't give any geometry for the frame, but says it was "A High-Performance racing frameset for road, criteriums, and training."
I think it should make a fine road bike for you, but may be a little twitchy if it is a Criterium design.
We always considered it right beneath the Paramount, and sold it as such. It came in a standard geometry as well as a funny bike. We rode them for a season, as well as Circuits and 974's. (NEVER got Schwinn to commit to sending us Paramounts, for some reason.) R. Schwinn, et al, at Waterford can tell you more, too, and you'll find some mention of them on their forums.
Prologues are great. Did you get the red/white or the smoke grey?
