I just wanted to despell the myth of riding causing sexual disfunction.. I do a lot of riding and i am proud to announce my wife is pregnant with our second child... it only took her being off birth control one month this is the second time its happened this quick so some much for cycling causing problems

I always laugh at this myth. I have a cyclist friend who almost wishes that were true. I think he and his wife are on their sixth child. The last one was a set of twins.

I wouldn't laugh too loudly. Scientific studies support that this is no myth. Anecdotal evidence of cyclists having several children does not disprove anything. I, too, have a baby on the way (due in August) but I certainly don't believe that this disproves the research that demonstrates that cyclists face increased chances of suffering from sexual dysfunction.

Or you can just go to google and search for "sexual dysfunction and cycling" and you will get an eyeful. The article noted cites research from the Boston University Medical Center. Those guys aren't turning out garbage research.

hey thanks everyone and the screenname is my last name, for those of you wondering i hope some of those cycling genes rub of my 3year old like to pedal around the drive way and always ask when i go for a ride if she can come
