I've been trying to get into a regular routine of doing before work rides. However, it's just waaaay too convenient to wake up, then go back to bed ... figuring I can sleep another hour before driving into the office. By having a group ride, it will force me to get out on the road.
Anyone up for a Tue/Thur or Mon/Wed/Fri 6 am ride? I know, it's insane, but it's one way to get the mileage in.

Man, if I was in the South Bay I'd ride with you. Unfortunately I don't think I could make it down there at 6am from San Francisco ;) I'm looking to do the exact same thing up here. Aside from class I've got pretty much all day to ride, but unless I get out in the early morning I procrastinate, do other work and end up only getting in a shorter late afternoon ride. If you can't find someone around you through BF, try Craigslist, I've seen a few postings for riding buddies.

Thanks Jeff. I wasn't actually expecting many responses, but thanks for yours anyways.

Can you give more details on start location, route? I might be able to do it on Fridays. I usually have zone2 or zone1 with few short intervals (if it's race weekend) 2 hour ride on Fridays. I usually ride near that Nasa Air port. It's kind of boring, but I don't have to deal with red lights (can just turn right and circle the block when I come to one). Might not be your "cup of tea" thought. My ride "starts" near the Intel on Mission college Blvd.

hey, jeff, i live in SF and like to cross the bridge on weekdays to ride the paradise loop and other marin routes. 6 AM is probably too ambitious for me, but if you're ever interested in starting a little later -- anywhere from, say, 8 AM or 10 AM -- let me know.
(It's funny -- on weekends I'll commit to a 6 AM start time without much protest, but on weekdays, I'd rather wait until it warms up a bit.)
