About a year ago I posted asking if anyone knew of a tank-type jersey for men. My wife and daughters give me a hard time about my "farmer" tan. I got a Duofold Coolmax tank type undershirt that worked OK, but it didn't have any pockets. I recently found what I was looking for. It's not exactly a true jersey with three pockets, but at least it has one pocket. This is a DeSoto Tri Singlet. There are a couple of models of DeSoto tri singlets/tanks. This one is Coolmax with a color Supplex panel in back. Supplex is a very nice woven nylon fabric that feels just like cotton. You can get them from places/sites that cater to triathletes. I got mine from trisports.com for just over $23. Size wise these are a slightly looser fit than some of the tri stuff. I wear L to M shirts, XL in most bike jerseys, and this XL is just loose enough not to be snug. Thought I would put this up in case anyone else is interested.

RainmanP: I don't know if it'ss the same thing that you're looking for but performance sells sleeveless jersey's for men. Surf out to www.performancebike.com and enter 10-3430 in the product search box. It's not a tanktop style but it is sleeveless.

Gojohnnygo, glad to help. If you are interested, and a little smaller than me, I have an unused DeSoto tri tank that is similar. It has two pockets, kind of like the usual 3-pocket bike jersey configuration without the middle pocket, and it is white nylon and spandex. I bought it on clearance a while back when all they had left were size large. It is a snug aero type fit on me which I don't care for so I never wore it; it still has the tags on it. I kept it figuring if I lost a few pounds it would probably fit fine. For fit reference size Large shirts usually fit me loose. In some I wear M. In bike jerseys usually XL, coat size 42L. If you are interested email me at RainmanP@att.net. I'll send it to you, and you can send me a few bucks for postage.

Zack, thanks for the note. I saw the sleeveless, but I really wanted tank. The manufacturers make tank jerseys for women but not for men. It is, like, so unfair. :D

Thanks for the offer RainmanP. My upper body is to muscular for that size. Maybe I need to stay out of the gym. (aka Gym-Rat on another forums)

Too muscular? Doesn't that go along with things on the country song like

...a car too fast...
...a girl too pretty...
I ain't NEVER had too much fun!
