Alright everyone, help me out here:

I have a nice Sigma computer that I've used for about 10,000km. I just took it out recently and the damn thing isn't working. The reason is that the magnet part (the bit that clips on to the spoke) is no longer magnetized. (If I swipe a magnet by the sensor, the computer picks it up, so it's just a matter of fixing this little piece.)

How can I re-magnetize that little piece of plastic-encased metal that clips onto the spokes??

I wonder how it got demagnetized?
You might be able to get a replacement for that little piece.

Failing that just get strong fridge magnet and tape it to the spokes. It will be ugly but it will work.

any magnet for any other bike computer will work, doesn't have to be a sigma. just go to your local shop and pick one up for a couple of bucks

Yep - any bike computer magnet will work. If your local shop doesn't have a spare, PM me - I have at least three stuck to the shelf above my work bench and you're welcome to one.
